which side goes up?

Well here's my silly question:

Does anybody know which side of 1/2"x1" wire is easier on bunny feet? I'm replacing some cage floors and I don't know since my other cages go both ways, some have the wire making the 1" part facing up and others are opposite. Hope this makes sense. Thanks!

so like one side is 1/2 and the other is 1? if so, i'd think the 1/2 side would be more comfortable. i gotta run, hope you get this figured out!

I don't know for certain, but logically it seems the 1/2" would be better. The 1" just sounds too large - little bunny feet could get stuck in it.

Either way you put it, you should make sure you have a mat, or some other kind of solid surface (a piece of cardboard, a mat, towel, ceramic tile etc et.) for the bunny to be able to sit on and rest their feet. Standing on wire all day (regardless of size) is not always comfortable and may promote sore hocks etc.
