Hi,
The other night i bought casper (my 8 yr old male) in for cuddles at 10pm, i think i woke him up but usally this doesnt bother him as he loves his cuddles. I got him inside and he started doing this 'munching/grunting' sound, what does this mean?
After a while he stopped grunting/munching but when i stood up he started again.
He didnt bite or nip at all he just cuddled into my duvet and went back to sleep. Was he upset at being woken?

Thanks

I'm surprised he was asleep at 10pm! :) Being that rabbits are crepuscular 10 pm is when my two are cray cray! Hahahaha

Grunting is usually a sound they make when upset. However, munching or tooth purring is a sound to indicate pleasure. So it could be either of those.

Oh okay so it could be either...
And yes i did think he shouldn't be asleep at that time but he is running about in the garden all day and it is fairly cold at night lately so he stays in his bedroom area. Next time he does it i will vidio it and post it...
