I was typing a note about the baby who needed tohave the placenta removed and I wrote about "vanodine" and it dawned onme that we have some breeders who might not have a list of things thatare recommended for them to keep on hand. I know there is probably alist in our Bunny101 thread - but I think for breeders - we often havedifferent needs and we have such a higher chance of an emergency comingup.
So can some experienced breeders share what they keep on hand?
Here is what I can remember right off the top of my head:
Vanodine (http://www.barbibrownsbunnies.com/fam30.htm)- I bought 4 ounces fromhttp://www.bunnyrabbit.comabout a year ago and just used the last of it recently. This time Ibought 8 ounces. I LOVE that stuff for disinfecting, etc. Its aconcentrated formula and you put X amount in Y amount of water and makeup the disinfectant based upon what you're using it for

Nutrical
&
Critical Care
Ivomec (I used paste before but just bought a tiny bottle for $36 ofthe generic...should take 1 drop per pound of rabbit to treat them formites, etc - the bottle should do my 100+ rabbits)
Piperazine (Wazine wormer) - I use this for head tilt/wry neck per Barbi Brown's site
Tums - for expectant moms
Walmart children's allergy relief (antihistimine)
Walmart children's anti-diarrheal liquid (I think it is like Immodium AD but it might be like Kaopectate - I am not sure)
Walmart children's cherry aspirin
Bausch & Lomb Advanced Eye Relief Eye Wash
Terramycin powder
Electrolyte powder
Probiotic powder
Acid Pak 4-Way(http://www.bunnyrabbit.com) -just started using it for weaning and when on the road for shows)
KMR (kitten milk replacer)
I have a sulfa product for prevention of coccidia - I got it fromhttp://www.bunnyrabbit.com
triple antibiotic ointment (Walmart) - tube
Bag Balm (tin)
Baby food in 3-4 flavors (carrot, banana, banana mixed with somethingelse, and banana & berries which is a pinkish color and theylove)
canned pumpkin
pedialyte - I always try to have an unopened bottle around
Vitastress pellets (haven't used them yet) - http://www.bunnyrabbit.com
I want to find some jarred baby food that is spinach for the calcium tohave on hand in case a doe does have problems with labor....but Ihaven't found it locally...I saw it once but didn't pick it up and nowI can't find it again

Oh yeah - echinacea capsules - I swear by those...I mix them with baby food if I get someone who is sick..
