what's he doing?

SPring loves to come out of his cage and he'll run around, stop, snif...hop around some more.
Sometimes he does a weird hop thing. He jumps in the air and does a turn/twist thing. I can't explain it.
We take our queues from him. If he does a lot of thumping, we just quiet down and stop cleaning or whatever we are doing to his cage.


But usually that "funny hop" isn't accompagnied by thumping but I want to know what he is telling us or is he just excited and running around?

Hi ya the "funny hop" sounds like a binky, they do that when they're happy/excited.

i thought so, he seems real happy when he does it. He actually came out and lounged yesterday so we are definately making progress but I doubt he was handled much at all so we're taking our cues from him.
We can pet him every now and then and sometimes he comes and sniffs and "head butts" us. He did lick my daughter's foot though.

I'm glad Spring is doing well, slowly but surely.
