The best thing would be for your vet to clip the fur short, then this will make cleaning the area much easier, basically wiping with a damp cloth. It's also important that your vet finds the cause of the drooling and resolves it so it stops happening. Contantly damp fur can lead to bacterial skin problems developing(eg. green fur syndrome) or even risk flystrike occurring.
