My cousin says they are lionheads. I just want to make sure if they are.

Thanks!

I stopped looking after the first pic. I don't see lionhead at all.

Look up some good breeders in your area. Atleast in Ohio, everyone EVERYONE has lionheads. Find something good to start out with.

And honestly if you're new to rabbits all together and plan to show, I would almost steerclear of them until everything is passed through the ARBA. Or choose colors that were passed. Its difficult to work with a developing breed, and be competitive. Or even a developing color for that matter

I can also see lionhead in spunky the chocolate rabbit. But the second, im not sure if thats fur or a dewlap around the head. looks more like some kind of dwarf mix. I hear that lions make nice pets and dont hear much complaining about dwarfs.

I'd say mix breeds. Personally, I wouldn't go for them. They don't seem to be in prime health (though not terrible either).

I truely believe it would really benefit you in the long run to get something purebred from a reputable breeder. Getting a mix breed cannot guarantee you the health or background of the rabbits, and that could cost you in vet bills down the road.

This is just my opinion, but I strongly suggest it.

With it being winter in California, how you protecting them from the elements?

I am sure they are going to make fantastic pets. If you are not planning on breeding or showing them they'll be just fine. I can't see much of a lionhead in either of them but I bet they have loads of personality. If those rabbits are looking for a good home and you are able to provide one then go for it. As pets they are as good as any purebreds.
