Upcoming Nueter advice

Ok so its been about 4 years sense I had a rabbit neutered. I need a refresher on a few things.
I already know to take a salad and hay with him to the vet they have already told me that.
I have ben bac and critical care on hand.
I will close the top half of his cage off.

What else?

Also what is the preferred pain med now for bunny? I want something he will take for 3 to 5 days after. Not the 24 hour one.

He is also getting micro chipped.

When ours were done, we'd take them in a full size hutch with food, water and hay, so it was "business as usual". For the rest of your questions, I'd save them for the vet.

I prefer metacam for the pain med. I've had banamine cause problems with my rabbits.

Post recovery, leafy greens seemed to be the first thing mine ate. The nausea from the anesthesia was the hardest thing to get past. Pain wasn't a problem, but the nausea kept one of mine from really eating well for 2 days. Kept giving him leafy greens, cause that's all he would really eat even a little bit of.
