Can you just switch brands of Timothy hay without gradually mixing it in. I switched and I can't tell if he is not eating it as much or just spreading it around.

Hay is generally one thing you can switch without much issue. While some brands and even bags of hay can vary, there is usually not a ton of difference and it tends to not cause digestive problems with rabbits.
Changing type of hay may require a bit of a gradual introduction, but usually over a couple days should be enough just to make sure there is no issue with them.

Some rabbits are more picky, so might not like one brand over another.

The *only* time a hay switch needs to be done gradually is when introducing alfalfa (which should only be done with juveniles, nursing does and possibly older rabbits having trouble keeping weight on) - switching from one kind of grass hay to another abruptly won't upset their digestive systems. That said, when switching to a different type (or even to a different cut of the same type), it's still a good idea to offer both the old and the new hay at first. As soon as you're sure your rabbit likes/is eating large amounts of the new hay, then you no longer need to offer the old kind.
