Surprise!

Edward James N. was born about 2pm yesterday March 1st!The baby is just 2lb 6oz. and currently in the nICU on a ventilator. He is strong, but please send prayers their way. ray:

It's a long windy story but my brother in laws girlfriend thought she had a miscarriage 6 months ago. The doctors told her she was no longer pregnant. When her water broke on Monday, she rushed to the hospital. She was only 28 weeks along, and had sought no prenatal treatment since being told she had a miscarriage. She had to have an emergency c-section.

Their older son was also born prematurely and spent 2 months in the NICU. He is ahappy healthy20 month old now.

I'm off to see them after work this morning, and will hopefully bring back pictures!

You know, my sister had something similar happen. When she was pregnant, the doctor told her she had a "blighted ovum" and to have a D & C. She said "No, she'd let her body expell it on its own"........

That "blighted ovum" will be having her own first baby in the next 6 weeks.....

CONGRATS! Can't wait to see the little dollbaby!

Oh wow! What a surprise, for your sister to thought she had lost the baby, and then for it to be born!

Congrats to her, and to you for being a new aunt I hope he does ok....


I am a newly converted baby fan, so I can imagine you must be very excited!

He is tiny tiny! The dr's say he is doing very well, and should not have to be in icu as long as his brother was.

Thank you, heneeds all the grow big and strong vibes he can get!He is so small. We are not allowed to hold him yet but he looks like he would fit in one hand.Like a little baby doll.

my sister weighed two pounds when she was born in 1967... and she is doing great... her daughter also only weighed 2lbs something and she is fine... they have come along way with care for premies... I will send him good vibes... and congrats on the new baby...:woohoo

My niece was born 2 lbs 1 oz and she is a robust 3 year old now, like bat42072 said they have come a long way. Baby grow vibes your way!!!!!!!!!!

He's hanging in there!He still has a PDA, but the doctors are hopefulit will close on it's own.

My sister only spent 5 months in my mum's stomach.
When she was born she didn't cry, didn't have a heart beat, she was blue and the size of the small coke bottle. She was practically dead. they rushed her to a specialist baby hospital and everything. she spent around 1 - 2 months in that hospital.
She's fine now and just started uni
