The county fair is very close. I have been practicing with Shadow and I think I have it down. What I am worried about is answering the questions. Last year at State fair I said that i didn't know way to many times. So could you guys ask me questions that they are likely to ask. Thanks so much :)

How old is your rabbit?

What breed is your rabbit?

What color is your rabbit?

Does your rabbit have rollback or flyback fur? (idk if they would ask that one)

Do they ask you to check for DQs? If so How would you?

What body type does your rabbit have?

I found this guideline from the ARBA site? It might help. https://www.arba.net/PDFs/Showmanship.pdf

Hey that's a really nice guide thanks!

1. Shadow is 1 year and 3 months old
2. She is a Jersey Woolly
3. She is a Siamese Sable
4. She has wool fur
5. You examine the rabbit to find DQs
6. Compact body

These are some that i've been studying:

1.What country did your breed of rabbit originate in?
2.What year was the breed admitted into the ARBA?
3.What is the junior buck ideal weight for your breed?
4.What id the junior doe ideal weight for your breed?
5.What is the senior buck ideal weight for your breed?
6.What is the senior doe ideal weight for your breed?
7.How many show groups are there for your breed?
8.What are they?

Also, sometimes they may ask about diseases:

9.What is one rabbit disease?
10.Symptoms?
11.Cause?
12.Treatment?
13.Prevention?

And then questions about rabbits in general:

14.How many different body types are there?
15.What are they?
16.How many different breeds of lops are recognized by the ARBA?
17.What are they?
18.How many different breeds of angoras (including dwarves) are recognized by the ARBA?
19.How many breeds of rabbits are recognized by the ARBA?
20.What does ARBA stand for?

Hope I helped! I might come back with some more, later!

Thanks for the questions these were great!

18 (restate): How many recognised breeds have wool?
20: I think it's American Rabbit Breeders Association.

You did really well! Did you look any of this up, or did you know it all off of the top of your head?

Also practice a lot of handling such as checking teeth, checking gender, carrying position, and straightness of front and back legs. If you need to know how to do any of these things, let me know!

18. 5 i believe.

This is my fourth year doing showmanship so I am very use to the physical part. I just try to study for the mental part like its a finals.

Ah, OK! This is my first year showing rabbits, but my third year showing chickens. So I kind of have an idea as to what to expect. I've also talked a lot with some of the other rabbit kids, and learned what the judge will most likely ask.

Glad to help! I love helping other people learn about animals!

Oh, and on 18 when I meant rabbits with wool including dwarves, I meant the 5 Angoras plus the Jersey Wooly and American Fuzzy Lop.
