Hey, earlier in the week I posted a note asking about bucks that spray. I forgot to ask what exactly is the reason behind that behavior.

I have read thatitmeans they are marking their area witch is fine but, my Rocky doesit all the time. Can anyone sprinkle some light on the subject for me.

Thanks, Claud:wave:

Bucks that spray do it to:

Express love and/or sexual attraction

Mark territory (must be done repeatedly as the scent fades)

Show dominance

Show irritation or anger

Make trouble (they think it's funny when we jump and squeal)

Usually bucks spray their female owners, but also can develop an attraction for male owners.;)

Neutering reduces or eliminates this, but nothing else will. Unfortunately. :bunnydance:Little stinkers!
