Snowflake Lies On Her Back...

Ok, today I saw Snowflake lying on her back and I thought she was dead:shock2:!! But when I went over to her cage, she jumped up. Is this normal for a bun to sleep like this? This is the 2nd time she did this.... I am scared... Is she ok? Do I need to take her to the vet?

(I'm new, sorry for my ignorance:expressionless)

She's fine. She's dead bunny flopping. Some flop on their side. Some on their back. Scares bunny slaves to almost a certain death!

They do it when very very relaxed.

My bunny is such a flopper. He'll lay on his back with his legs and arms straight in the air, or sometimes he flings himself over that he literally does a complete roll back where he started..and that usually scares him half to death.

If anything, flopping and laying on side and back is a good sign...it shows he is happy and fulfilled in his home.
