It's time everyone......
I made the appointment for Einstein to get neutered on March 30th! I am excited for this to happen but I am VERY nervous. I do trust the vet. He is very knowledgeable and knows rabbits. For directions I have to drop Einstein off between 8:00am-8:30am and bring some food as well. I was happy when the vet said I didn't have to fast him. So I can feed him the morning of. I was so nervous and I emailed him about pain medications and he responded with this "I generally give metacam before surgery and send home 2 days of it for after surgery. I think that untreated pain in rabbits is not good for their GI health, so I try to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible." I do trust him but I am scared.
Is there anything else I should do before the surgery or after? What is good aftercare instructions? I plan on washing everything in his pen while he is getting neutered.
Thank you
