One Christmas Eve Santa went to check on his Reindeer. But when he got there he could not believe his eyes. All the reindeer were sick, an unpleasant surprise. They coughed and they sneezed, they all had the flu. Santa cried âWhat will I do?â âThe girls and boys will wake up on Christmas day, and there will be no toys for them to play.â When Santa paused to think he heard a munch, munch, munch. He went to the corner of the barn and found eight rabbits having lunch. Santa laughed and chuckled with great joy. âNow the good children will get there toys.â He went to get his bag of magical corn and feed it to them to give them the gift of strength and flight. The bunnies tested there new found power. They did loop-de-loops and cart wheels for about an hour. Santa smiled as he watched them with great glee. âAlright bunnies, follow me!â He walked with the rabbits to his sled. The bunnies lined up into two rows and waited as Santa slipped on the harnesses over their heads. Santa got in his sled and the rabbits took off in flight. He cried out, âMerry Christmas to all and to all a good night!â So remember when you leave carrots out for the reindeer you know, make sure you leave some extra out for the back-up reindeer.
