I volunteer at the Placer SPCA in Roseville,CA north of Sacramento. We currently have a record number of twenty-four bunnies in need of homes. More than half are being fostered because our shelter critter room is too small.

Most of them are 4 or 10 month-old Californians. Someone dropped off two of them from a previous hoarding situation thinking they were neutered males. Nope, they were pregnant does. The offspring are all quite large buns but well socialized. They tolerate being held and seem to enjoy being petted.
We also have a Rex or two and one or two Americans.
I just took the socialization class so I'm hoping to spend more time with the ones at the shelter and get to know them and do some educating while I'm there.
