Ramp Help

I now have Elliot in a double Ferret Nation cage. I need to take pics.
My problem is he cannot use the ramps, or does not want to. What can I cover them with that will stay in place, that will make it easier for him to use them?

I googled what type of cage that is, and if it's that type then this will work.
If Elliot doesn't chew too much this should work. I would go to a dollar store and get a cheap rug that has some grip (but make sure their nails won't get stuck.)
I just stuck some holes in mine, and then cable tied it to the ramp and the walls of his cage. Made him use it and not slide
I know some people use cat scratching posts, but the only ones I could find had cat nip in the middle of them.
