That's beautiful! How long does it take you to make an egg?
I usually have 2-3 eggs going at the same time, so I'm working on the wax process on one while 1-2 others are in different dyes. :)

I can usually finish the 2-3 eggs each day.

I have a few people who want to join me doing them this year, so I will be blowing the eggs out this week. I may wait until our state standardized test is done before doing the designs (would be the weekend of the 14th), just so my mind and body are more at ease.

So, we can expect it up for auction at least the week before Easter!!! I'll keep posting photos here, and I have put everyone on my messenger that has their name in the messenger thread, if they want to watch on cam!

OMG, you do Pisanki eggs? I did those once at my kid's school, it's such an intricate and long process! I even have the tools and the wax ( I do make beeswax candles. Well, I did :expressionless) but never got round to doing them at home. I f I lived closer to you, I'd want to make some with you though :D
And you would be more than welcome to join our Pysanki Party!

I blew out the eggs today!!! I'm so excited. I'm researching which patterns I want to incorporate. Next weekend it will be made! The week after, it will be up for auction!!!

Cool!! Very nice work!

My mom used too make the kind where you cover the blown-out eggs with beeswax, then pick up a tiny glass bead, heat it in a candle flame, then press it in the wax, repeating until the whole egg is covered with a pattern. I don't know where those ones are from.

My family is mostly "Germans from Russia" on my mom's side, and just German on my dad's side.

Did you miss it?

Here is a video of all the wax coming off, revealing the finished egg!

I still need to varnish the egg and attach the pieces to hang it up.

Thank you to ALL the members who came to watch me as it was created! You made it so much more fun for me to do so!

The egg turned out amazing Minda! Wonderful Job! Can't wait to watch again tomorrow! :D
