peter gets stained fur from sitting in his litter pan all the time and need to know what kind of shampoo can be used to spot wash his fur



the pet stores where i am do not carry special pet shampoo except for dogs and need to know if something like maybe johnsons baby shampoo can be used with a wash cloth to spot wash his fur

If I were you, I wouldn't use the store bought stuff, but use a diluted vinegar/water solution on the spots.
