Do you need a pedigree to show rabbits or can you show them without? Like if you know that the are purebred but, don't have a pedigree can you show it?
That is correct - you would need a pedigree (for the offspring) that goes back 3 generations on each parent's side.So if I breed a pedigreed one with one that doesn't have the pedigree but is purebred, then the offspring would not have a complete pedigree? And it could not be registered?
Rabbits do not need to be pedigreed to show at ARBA sanctioned shows in the U.S. Rabbits don't even need to be purebred. You can show anything in any class. As with purebreds, if they fit the standard and have no DQ's, they're placed. Some shows you can show them without a pedigree some you can't. It just depends on the show.
