one of my rabbits started acting very jerkily at the weekend, flicking her head back, chewing, head to one side etc. took her to the vet and found out that she's got some kind of internal parisite thats affecting her nerves (explains jerking) thing is to me it seems like she's getting steadily worse despite being on treatment and painkillers. i was wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this before, i'd love some advice and some hope!

Coccida can techincally affect the nerves. Cerebral nemotoadiasis is also another parasite that can affect the brain.

There are also a multitude of bacterial, protozoan, and viral explanations for the cause.

What parasite did the vet specify? What medicine did the vet give you?
