So I have decided to construct an outdoor playland for Rascal! It all started with tons of weeds in the dog run! =O It took pretty much most of the day to pull all the weeds but I got it. (most of them) I am pretty sore. I still have to buy stuff to make it bunny safe so he can play out there. I am going to cover the ground because that dirt is very unsafe and lots of weeds grow and grow! I also need to make it so he can't go further than where the gate is in the second picture because there is a lot of stagnant water and mud over there that I wouldn't want him getting into. So I have to figure out how to block that area off better. Overall it's not totally horrible. I think once it's all fixed up it will be perfect for him! =)

After most of the weeds have been pulled:

Here are more pictures!
I have been doing work out there all day today again. Trying to make it perfect.

After I got more weeds up:

Wire mesh on the gate so Rascal can't squeeze through:

And then here's Rascal waiting for his playland to be finished!

I plan on adding a bunch of stuff to the rabbit run but for now there will only be a little bit. Slowly adding things as we go. =P

Wow, Rascal is going to love that, but I would have left some of the grass for him to munch on. But that's just me. It's looks great!

I was going to leave some grass but since I didn't know what kind of grass/weeds any of it was I wasn't sure if I should leave it. Looked just like some soft grass and other type of weeds I am not sure of. Anyway, I am sure they will grow back. =P It was very hard to get the roots of everything. He will have hay and veggies to munch on while he's out there too.

Wow great job. I think Rascal is going to love it.

One question, will he be out there by himself? I'm just worried about predators.

When I lived in the house I would never leave Buttercup in our backyard without someone with him, I saw hawks, feral (sp?)cats, raccoons, Isaw a fox once too.

Thank you!

Unfortunately, I think there is a pipe leak in the rabbit run. I woke up this morning and checked it out and there was soooo much water back there. It was crazy! =( I wanted rascal to play today but he couldn't. He won't be able to for a few days because it's going to rain now. Which means even MORE water back there. =( I don't know what to do. I need to fix this.

Did you figure out where the water was coming from? And if you did, is there any way to direct it to a certain spot. Put stones on that spot so that the water naturally trickles back into the earth?

Such a shame. All that work lovingly done for Rascal and now this.

Let us know what you found.

K:)
