Hello,

I just moved to a new place. Previously, I lived in an apartment and the bunny hutch was in the living room. It stayed at room temperature. I just moved into a place where the bunnies (two adult Flemish giants) have their own room, which is great, but it's unheated. The bunnies are now existing at temperatures around 40-50 degrees. I don't ntice any shivering, and they seem bright and curious. They prefer the cold room to the uncarpeted tile floor of the warm kitchen. They also drink much less water, and I'm wondering if it was because they were sweating more at the old place.

I can heat this room if I need to, but it would cost a bunch due to the poor insulation. I'm wondering if it's worth it, since the bunnies seem OK.

Thanks!

50-70 is the optimal temperature. Your rabbits are fine in the temperature they are in. Cooler is better than hot.
