i decided to wait a little longer to have the boys snipped, and rue has recently hit puberty big time. he no longer even tolerates being picked up, so when i scooped him up to return him to his cage last night, i expected some kicks and grumbles and a generally unhappy rabbit. instead, he snuggled in to the crook of my neck, and started giving me kisses! i totally melted! so instead of going to bed, i stood there for a good twenty minutes, stroking rue's back and getting kisses, afraid to move in case i broke the spell. *sigh* my sweet sweet boy!
