I have an amaryllis bulb that rotted (not sure why! I followed instructions.)

I carefully excised the dead rotten bulb material and roots. It wasdisgusting! About half the bulb is left, and it does have live roots. But the center is pretty much gone.

Can it survive?

Hmmmm...no one's ever done surgery on a flower bulb before? lololol Aw, come on! ;)

Thanks for lookin' anyway!

I'm thedaughter of two landscape architects, so I guess Itook it for granted someone would have tried it. :pOh well! We'll see what happens.

P.S. it's a present from a very ex-boyfriend(growl snarl grrr) so I'm not too heartbroken if it doesn't grow. I'llget another with no bad associations! ;)
