as some of you know, my mini lop that was a stray just gave birth.

She is doing quite well, eating fine pooping fine weeing fine, alert, feeding babies ok etc.

but once a day she will do about 2 or 3 runny poos... not cecals - they are the size of the big poos but are just sloppy?

it's not consistant or anything, and its only ever one or two... :S

it's almost like instead of cecals she's doing these big sloppy poos?

her diet at the moment is barastoc rabbit pellets (cheap aussie alternative to oxbow) a few green veggies (maybe every second day) and unlimited lucerene(alfalfa) [which i'm told is best for nursing mamas].

is this dangerous to the babies ? i've heard they have to start eating mamas cecals at around day 10?

the frustrating thing is i know nothing of her past history, how old she is, anything. :(

[p.s mods if you think this belongs in the infirmary feel free to move it :)]

also she has become REALLY agressive. wont let us go near her nest without attacking!

she used to be so loving and happy? what do we do?

A lot of mother rabbits are overly protective of the babies. Thats normal.

How long have you had her? It could be the change in diet or something
