Hi! I’m new to joining the forums! I’ve been thinking of rescuing a bunny, and have been doing a lot of research on them. I’m much more familiar with parrots and am vaguely newer to learning rabbits, so if anyone has good information sources they’d like to share or advice to give, please always do so!

Welcome to the forum! I love parrots, and though I have never had one, my mom had an Amazon growing up that spoke two languages.
I suggest getting the book Rabbits for Dummies, and not because I am saying you are a dummy, it is just so helpful (it also helps that it is $5 off right now :D): https://www.amazon.com/Rabbits-Dumm...rds=rabbits+for+dummies&qid=1585152135&sr=8-2.
Here are some websites I also suggest:
https://rabbit.org/
https://rabbitsindoors.weebly.com/ (by @Blue eyes)

I am guessing that this rabbit will be indoors? If so you will find so much info on here about what litter to use, how to litter train, housing set up, etc.
Here are some great indoor housing ideas:

Welcome to the forum! It’ll be for me to easier to give advice when I know a little bit about what you want. So if you don’t mind;

1) Do you know where you want the rabbit to live?

2) Are you looking for a certain type of rabbit?

I’m actually reading through this article now so it might help. https://www.wideopenpets.com/everyt...bout-raising-a-free-roam-cage-free-bunny/amp/

The Abcs of owning a rabbit: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....ything-you-ever-needed-to-know-about-rabbits/

I found this helpful when I started:https://myhouserabbit.com/new-to-rabbits/thinking-about-getting-a-pet-rabbit/

Wow lots of helpful links already, thanks!

I‘d plan on having it indoors, and primarily free roaming. I might have a pen in the living room for when I’m not home (work from home though so that’s not too often)

I’m not l0oking for a specific breed of rabbit too much. I really like the look of things like polish, hotot, Netherlands dwarfs and holland lops, less the really “rabbit-y” looking breeds like California’s, or big rex, or the real furry ones like angoras. I’d prefer a male to female too cause I’m not a fan of the dewlap lol.
I care a lot more about personality, so if I do get one I would just go visit with a lot in shelters and such and find one with a good personality I like regardless of breed and sex for the most part.

Remember when looking in shelters, the rabbit chooses you, you don't choose it. I also suggest getting 2 rabbits so they can have each other to play, cuddle, and groom.

Okay, that’s good that you have a clear set idea. When I went to my local animal rescue, I was looking at a black lop but I ended up deciding I didn’t like it and adopted a very introverted Rex rabbit instead. I think, you kind of just know, when you see a rabbit that is meant to be for you!
