Update on their bonding...
We put simba on the outside of gingers pen to see what would happen and let them get more used to each others scent. They touched noses a whole bunch through the gate and occasionally softly nipped at each other but he didn't seem to mind! He actually laid so his fur was half in his cage ( hes fuzzy) and she was lightly picking on it, if she pulled hard he would slap her but he would not even move, he seemed to enjoy it lol. They eventually laid down by each other on each side of the pen. Ginger also pooped all over her pen, assuming she is marking her territory because she has not done this besides tonight.
After we put him back into his cage and let her get her excerise time, she tracked down his cage even though it was well hidden from hers and tried to jump over the baby gate(barley made it) to get in there with him so we had to double them up, hopefully some more bonding can take place tomorrow.
The new bunny Simba is a lion head mixed with a dutch from what we were told. He was bought as an easter present for some girl and she got tired of him after 3 months so he's been at the rescue since, hes a very sweet shy boy while Ginger is quite outgoing and mischievous.
