On Tuesday my friend decided she did not want her guinea pig anymore because she was boring and didn't do anything so i took her.

For the past couple of days we've been working on building her a new cage since the one she was in was 18in x 18in. Way too small.

And we finally finished this morning.

The cage is 56 inches long and 27 inches wide. We just used window screening. This will keep the flies out.

What a great cage! I'm so glad you took her in. Any animal that size that's stuck in a 18x18 inch cage isn't going to do much. There's no space for her to move!

Any thoughts on getting her a friend? Guinea pigs are pretty social and lots of shelters have them available.

I really really wish i could. But my mom won't allow that.

She wasn't too happy when i just showed up with her a few days ago. She cooled down and was willing to help me build a cage for her.

The main reason she doesn't want that many pets is because i'm leaving in a year for college, soit's understandable.
