So we bite the bullet and bought the "carefresh" wood pulp bedding. I wanted the pellets but Jason said they looked uncomfortable and we could NOT find aspen. So the super expensive carefresh it is. It looks and feel like pocket lint but that is not the problem. Just like everything else in our house she EATS it! Yep she has been eating the carefresh and now is locked in her big travel crate until someone says its safe. Thanks

Yes, it's fine! She will likely eat any litter you use, All bunnies do this, it's one of their endearingly gross habits. If you're really concerned, you can cover the top of the carefresh with a thin layer of hay, and she may munch on that more. But anything paper should be fine as long as her hay supply is sufficient.

Have you tried searching for aspen through your local farmers or feed stores? I get my aspen through my local feed store on the outskirts of the city.
