Black Otter Netherland Dwarf female x Orange Lionhead with Dutch Pattern male

If I breed both of these rabbits, what kind of kits will they have? Is this even a good pair? Thank you!

Wow! First off, I have to mention how gorgeous your rabbits are. Your lionhead is striking!

Orange is in the "wide band" color group, and black otter is in the "tan" color group. I normally try to stick to breeding rabbits of the same breed / color group. Mixed breed rabbits are harder to find homes for, as they only have potential as pets, and are disqualified from shows.

Your orange lionhead has Vienna markings, so this gene may carry over to the babies and create some striking blue eyes.

The babies will most likely look like Netherland Dwarfs with extra fluffy fur around the face and hind end (like dad).

From this breeding you will most likely get chestnuts, otters, and chinchillas. These are estimated guesses based on their coat colors, pedigrees would be helpful to determine a better guess of the outcome of this breeding. Hope this helps!!
