My 20 week old rabbit has started nesting behaviours - moving bedding from part of their setup to the litter box (she also does this with fleece blankets).

I started wondering if maybe her “roommate”maybe wasn’t a girl like we were told and a boy.

I checked myself and it looks like a girl to me but I am no where near an expert lol I would love to have anyone else’s opinion!

Uh... that's a boy. See those little pink sacks on the sides of the genitals. Those are testicles. Sounds like you better be ready for babies soon. Provide a nesting box and loads of grass hay so your doe can build her nest.

You need to separate your rabbits, or he'll be able to reimpregnate her right after she gives birth. If you want to be able to rebond them, I would suggest booking his neuter appointment soon. He'll need up to 8 weeks for hormones to fade, before you can try rebonding. And she'll need to have the babies weaned at 8 weeks old, before she can be spayed.

Thank you so much for your help!!!! I’m just confused because no matter how I push around I cannot make anything come out of that slit!

Looks like a male to me, however, if you’re sure it’s a female she may be experiencing a false pregnancy/phantom pregnancy.

put a nest box in her pen at 28 days, the kits will be born around the 31st day. The mama does almost everything so don’t stress. Just make sure they are warm and round bellied in the morning when you check on them. She will only feed them 1-2 times per day.

Sometimes with the genitals it won't be readily apparent, especially if you aren't pressing just right to make it pop out. But the testicles, that's pretty definitive. Of course, I guess there's always the possibility of a deformity with the genitals.

well turns out she is a GIRL LOL we have had to spayed in the mean time lol those aren’t testicles just a bad photo on my part I guess ?

That's not a boy, the "sacks" actually are the glands. Slit is clearly visible in that pic, no donut whatsoever.
