Ryan and I are moving into his MIL's house because she is moving to Madison, WI for 3 years. We were supposed to move to NY at the end of this year....put things happened, and we are not going to be able to move for a couple years, bleh. Ryan's mom's house is a 2 bedroom for us, so the animal room is going to be even smaller then my current one :(.

I am wanting to get Marlin and Brody into the new Super Pet Giant cages. They are practically the same size as a 2x3 NIC cage, but they are going to be easier for me to stack....and look a lot nicer then NIC cages, I think.

So...if I order the cages from PetSmart.com, the cages are $89.99 each. For 2 cages with $5.99 shipping....its about $185 or so total.

I found a "new Linens n' Things" website selling a 2-pack of these cages with free shipping for like $136. So that is $66 and some change per cage.

Too good to be true? I hope not....thats a killer deal!!

If it is related to the actual store than I would trust them.
That is what I figured, but I wanted to make sure others thought the same, lol.

I just think the price is too good to be true. I'm really excited because I want these cages....now I can actually afford it (well, my credit card can).

I emailed the company to ask how long the free shipping deal is going on for....and if the cages are always that price.

I told Ryan about the cages being so cheap and he told me to just order them right away because if it is a sale, we don't want to miss out. So, I ordered them! I'm super excited now...hopefully they work out good for us!

In the new house there is more options for Marlin & Brody to come out to play for longer periods of time (fenced in yard to kick the dog outside, LOL)...so I don't feel bad about the Super Pet cages, plus...they are like the same size as NIC's, too.

Hopefully anyone else thinking about getting this cage will see this thread....as it really is a good deal for these cages.

:biggrin2:

Great find! I think the "new Linens 'n' Things" website can offer lower prices, since they no longer have retail locations to support. Less overhead.

Good find! Will you post pics when you get them set up? It's hard for me to judge the size without seeing something in them.
I surely will post pictures! I wish there were more pictures out there of this cage with rabbits in them. If you go to the PetSmart's website, I think a few people submitted pictures along with their review. I know Chelsey (Scubbs) from GM had this for her rats for a little while...it seems like a huuuuge rat cage, lol!

Erika had this cage for her 2lbs Lionead (RIP :(), you can see it here:

I think it will work well for my Lionhead and Holland Lop. They aren't large rabbits and will get plenty of play time. Ugh, I don't know why I keep "backing myself up" on that, lol.....I guess it is because they are pet store cages....but they ARE the size of a 2x3 NIC!

Alicia (JadeIcing) has the Marchiro (sp??) cages that (I think) are about the size of the SP Giant. Her cages look like they are working really well for her head tilt bunnies...

Actually, I wouldn't trust almost any buy-on-line website. Not too long ago, we went through identify theft via our credit card number, chunking out our money - from a trusted site we've shopped off before! They used our money to buy worthless junk and pornos and sent them to our doorstep!

But if you want to order something off the internet, use a money order, so you don't have to go through what we did.

I'm sorry that happened to you :(.

I always buy things offline and I have never had an issue. The Linens n Things website that I just ordered these cages off of uses PayPal, so it is safer.

I have BOA and use the protection program the one time something happened they emailed me right after odd purchase. Than I called they canceled the charge and sent me a new card.

Amy, that is a nice cage! How convenient that it comes in a two pack since that's the number we'd need. I'd love to buy new cages for Skyler and Phoebe Mae, but I can't tell if the website actually gives free shipping to Alaska- I went through the checkout process as far as giving my address and it still says it's free shipping. I bought my ratties an enormous cage from Petco and managed to get free shipping to AK so who knows!

Definitely let us know when they arrive. I would trust Linens 'N Things.

Shiloh....I'd call the company tomorrow! This deal is waaay too good to pass up, especially free shipping to AK!!!

I got my tracking code and my cages will be here on Wednesday already :bunnydance:! Well...technically tomorrow, since its 12:09am right now, LOL. They shipped from CA, so its not like they had to travel far.

Now I have about 6 boxes worth of NIC panels to find a home for. I think I will keep 2 boxes worth, just in case.....but I might donate the rest to AZ Piggie Poo Rescue or Tranquility Trail (rabbit rescue in AZ), if they want them. I don't have the space for all those cubes...my goodness, I have soooo many.

ETA: Does this mean Hawaii and Alaska are excluded (only to 48 continental US states)?

Amy, I looked at that too. I wanted to know how much shipping would actually be for me, so I went through the checkout process as far as putting in my address. The next step was credit card info and actually pushing "place order" so I didn't want to do that without knowing if the shipping is really free or not! Maybe a message pops up saying "sorry, no free shipping to AK" when you do it, but I'm not 100% sure we'll be getting the cages yet so don't want to accidentally order them even if we do get free shipping.

The Skybinator (aka Skyler) has to go to the vet tomorrow and I'm afraid of how much it might cost, so whether or not we get the cages depends on how much the vet visit is. Paul and I agreed I should quit my job at the grocery store a month and a half ago a) so I can take more credits at the university (so I can finish school faster and start making lots more money than I was at the store) and b) because I hated that job and it made me miserable. This means he is paying for a lot of things now and bunny things is one of them. Of course I'll insist on proper vet care (and find money myself if necessary, but honestly he likes the bunnies and wants them to be healthy) and food and stuff, but the new cages aren't really a necessity for us. Know what I mean?

Oh and thanks for looking that page up, it was sweet of you!

Cages just got here :biggrin2:!

One is the blue color, like pictured....but the other is a green. I am not too happy about the cage being green. I wanted both blue. I wasn't aware the cage came in green....PetSmart's website doesn't say that colors vary, either.

I will get them set up and report back here in a bit. I need to make sure they aren't damaged or anything...see as how the box was really thin cardboard, super dirty, and a bit beat up.

Ooh I like green cages! Also, I totally forgot about ordering the cages during the sale. Oops. The cages still have free shipping but are $12 more than before (because there was a deal where you saved $12 if you spend over $100). Still something to consider!
