I think I have been here for almost 3 years now.
I tend to wander off, disappearing for months on end, and turn up when people least expect me..
I can be hotheaded, passionate, and yes.. an asshole..But those that know me and accept me for who I am, know that I am a fiercely loyal friend..and tend to over analyze things,
I have lots of tattoo's..and body piercings, and I skate roller derby. Banked and Flat Track. Actually I founded my own league..http://www.gulfcoastrollergirls.com
I currently have 13 bunnies.. 4 in the house..the rest outside. I will take updated pics of them over the next week or so and post them..
In the house I have Bruce Lee, a 3 legged year old Cali Buck..Maddie and Mallory caged together, many of you will remember them as UnderGunFire's babies.. I am just keeping them for her till she is ready to have them back. Maddie is a black lionhead female, and Mallory is a Harlequin Dutch Male. I also have my kids very first bunny in the house. Yes, before I knew any better, I bought a bunny, but if it wasn't for Soaky, a NZ REW, I wouldn't have found out how much I love bunnies.
Outside in the rabbitry I have, Reveille, Her daughter with the messed up eye, Miss Model, Reveille's mom, Marie Antoinette. I also have Young Buck, and Old Man, George, Frenchie, or Moo Cow as we call her, and She who has no name.
I also still have Skedoosh. Everyone except Moo Cow and Skedoosh are Cali's. Moo cow is am English Spot, and Skedoosh is some sort of dutch rex mix..
Skedoosh and Moo Cow are Easter are Easter Rejects.....She who has no name and Miss Model are "handicapped"..the rest are retired breeders
Now on to the other things and beings and people who share my life..
I have 2 boys..
Blake, 17. He is Bipolar, Manic Depressive, Schizo Affective Disorder and ADHD. I don't say this gain sympathy, I say this, because if you find yourself faced with a child with a similar issues, feel free to PM me to pick my brain, or vent, or get emotional support. He seems to be fine now..but for a good few years, I thought we would have to institutionalize him...
This is Blake, myself, and my other chin at the Iron Maiden Concert June 11th 2010.
My youngest son, Christian, is 12..he has aspergers syndrome..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome
His one constant is his music..he is in band, and he has a fondness for all types of music from classical to rock. I spend alot of money on bringing him to concerts. He adores the Beatles..fanatical about them even..
In our home, we have cats..
We have Kobe.. a rescue. We got him on the last hour, literally minutes before he was to be PTS. That was 3 years ago. He is a red siamese. He is very very weird. He is around 10, and he acts like your typical crotchety old man.. he was abused greatly as a younger cat, and we ended up having to have his bottom teeth removed because his bottom jaw had been broken, and his bottom long teeth were growing up into his top palate and he was unable to eat correctly. The anesthesia affected him badly, and his equilibrium is off..if he shakes his head or tries to jump up.. he rolls over or misses his mark..He also has bladder crystal issues, and we have to force feed him his meds everyday..
Kobe sleeping in an open drawer..
We also have Sassy, or Surprise cat. A roller girl friend of mine named her that because she pops up at the most inopportune times, like a surprise, and really doesn't care what you think about it. I love her much..she is my girl..we got her from the city shelter. I am friends with the lady who runs it, and she knows what I like, and called me on her last day on earth if nobody took her..she is about a year old..
Sassy...
"Kitty is displeased with your web browsing.."
"Are you uploading glorious pics of me?"
Our newest addition is Latte..a baby Siamese.. we got her about 3 weeks ago..
She's a butthead..
Latte is sister to my mom's kitten, Boots..here is Boots when he was a bit younger than Latte is above..
Outside we have dogs. All my mini Black and Tan Doxies died..I guess I wasn't meant to have one..
Beaux.. my son's Coon dog on a rare inside visit. I like this pic, it makes me laugh, because he reminds me of Jean Luc Picard on Star Trek, and he has been turned into Locutus of Borg, and his eyeball lights up like a laser..we don't know how old he is..he was a stray that wandered up, so we just kept him, about a year ago.
Here is Molly..a german shepard mix..shes a stray we kept.. and she is a prime example of why you need to spay and neuter your pets. She is clearly inbred, and is as dumb as a fencepost. She has to be chained or kenneled, because she runs back and forth through the pet containment system and it doesnt phase her..and thats just one of her many dumb tricks..shes about a year and a half old.. we've had her since last Easter.
Molly on her way to get fixed..
And Sunshine. Our overweight standard sized Doxie.. shes. 5, we've had her for 4 years.. we found her on Freecycle..
Tomorrow we get a new cat!! Here is his shelter pic.. he has no name yet.. his PTS date would have been this this week, sad..
I love derby..I also am a featured weekly blogger for a worldwide roller derby website..I love derby so much, I got my League logo forever....(it has color now)
Here is our Jammer Helmet Covers...and our booty shorts.. my design!!
Ever seen Whip It? What about A & E's Rollergirls series? Whip It is based off of TXRD in Austin, and Rollergirls is about TXRD, featuring their players..
June 5th and 6th, I had the pleasure of attending TXRD's boot camp in Austin..
Skate Night at the Warehouse (line from the movie) turned into "skate 2 days in the boiling heat of the unairconditioned warehouse we call the thunderdome"
It was like being at the altar of derby..it was such a privilege..
And yes I was scared, and yes I threw up.. mostly because of the heat.. and because every place you see a lil gap.. THERE REALLY WAS A GAP...kinda skeery...
Us on the Track listening to instructions..
Close up of the track...
The whole track..for 4 days afterwards..it hurts to sit and even pee. When you skate, one leg is always kinda in an unnatural jacked up position, and your other leg is kinda at an incline kinda keeping you in place and propelling you..
For a flat tracker.. you use muscles you never knew you had.
Now we are building a banked track.
Wow.. I talked alot for my re-introduction!!..I better save some for the rest of my entries..
Pics soon of the bunnies.. and of my new kitten!!
