Lately I've been getting really good deals on greens and my baby Anthony is eating like a king. I know timothy hay is supposed to be the bulk of the diet but is a diet with a higher volume of greens bad for them at all? Can I feed him as many greens as he will eat?

Thanks

Greens are excellent for bunnies but in general the texture of the hay is necessary for both optimal digestion and grinding down the teeth so I would cut back on the greens until your rabbit is eating hay again

Also hay is a great way to help with hairballs. Lots of hay and water will do the trick to help prevent hairballs. So hay is an essential part of a bunnies diet.

Veggies and fruit are wonderful treats. But hay and pellets, bunnies are just fine.

Wishing you all the luck.

K :)
