Hi, my 2 year old bunny is missing a patch of hair on his nose about the size of my fingernail. He's in perfect health. The area doesn't have a cut or look bad. I just noticed it this morning. Any ideas on why this one spot is missing hair? Thanks!

Is he with any other rabbits who could have attempted to bite him and/or grooms him a lot.? Does he rub up against anything ?

I would watch the area to see if it grows larger...

there is the posssibility of mites but you can wait and see to if the bald spot get larger

Also is he molting at all on his body?

He lives alone, but he could have rubbed on something, however, there's nothing new in his cage. I don't think it's mites. And no he's not molting

Then I would watch it for now and see iffur grows back or if the bare spot becomes larger

if it becomes larger then you should go to the vetfor a diagnosis and/or possibleskin culture
