Hey all-

My bun Bailee will be 4 at the end of April. I have recently noticed his eyes starting to appear milky. I know cataracts sometimes develop with age in animals, but isn't this a little early? I feel he is still a ripe young lad....

Any recommendations or further knowledge? He seems to be seeing fine right now and his behavior has not changed. Is there anything special I can feed him (Vit A, for example) that will help with this? Should I be concerned?

Thanks!

Do you mean a film over the eyeball or a milky discharge.? Cataracts can develop on younger rabbits.

Either way you should have this looked at; hopefully your vet is experienced with rabbits.
