Hi guys. I’ve posted on here a fair amount with issues I’ve had with my rabbit regarding a bout of GI stasis and just other health related issues. I took her to the vet for around the fifth time again and decided to do some xrays. They found a belly mass and lung cancer, which spread to the lungs from the mass.
I am behind devastated as I love her so much and it’s absolutely destroyed me. But I do have a question regarding her quality of life.
She has her ups and downs for sure, she is currently up and about and happy and eating as I am typing this. Sometimes she just sits around and goes lethargic. But do you guys know if meloxicam is something that can be given semi-regularly to buns? It seems to make a big difference with her. What are the side effects of her using it regularly? Is there anything else I can do for pain until her time comes? I want to be careful to not overextend her stay here if she gets miserable, so I’m just not sure what to do. I hate to cut her time short when I don’t need to, but I don’t want her to be absolutely miserable either. Please help?
