Losing weight

I just noticed tonight that Gracie is losing a little bit of weight. She's not quite as stocky as she used to be. Her bones feel a little more prominent than usual. Could it be because of her molt? Am I just being paranoid because of what happened to Olivia? Is it normal to lose weight with a winter molt?

What is her diet like? Does she just feel more bony or have you actually weighed her?

Yes, it's normal to lose condition during a molt. The flesh will often feel looser/thinner and bones are more prominent. The solid, smooth feel of the body should come back as the coat reaches normal condition again.

I haven't actually weighed her. She just feels more boney. She is on Timothy hay mixed with a little orchard grass, 1-1 1/2 cups of greens daily, a tsp of oats daily(bc she does not eat pellets), 1 oxbow natural digestive support biscuit daily

I'd get a scale that you can weigh them on and every once in a while weigh her.
