Litter box: what should they look like?

I use the piddle pads to line the cage for easy cleanup of the leftover hay and the unending random poops and the occasional accident, but I line his box with newspaper. He sometimes will rip it but doesn't eat it. His box was just a plastic tub with the front cut out because he's a bit lazy and doesn't like to hop into them. I've heard however of people using the under the bed plastic storage trays because they are large enough to fill with litter and hay, just don't use a corner box!
