Litter box issues

I am trying to litter box train. The rabbit is sleeping in the litterbox and pooping in the bedding... Any suggestions?

Most of ours will spend a lot of time in the litter box, just how bunnies are. We also give them a piece of carpet to lay on--that got them to spend less time in the litter box.

he doesnt use the litter box to go to the bathroom in at all he sleeps in it...

not using bedding in the rest of the cage tends to make them more likely to use the litter box for its intended purpose

If you have bedding all over the cage the rabbit will not know the difference between where to poop and were not to poop. Most of us here only use bedding in the litter box.

i have been told from a thousand breeders to but the litter box were they are pooping and the bed were they are sleeping if they ever poop anywere but the litter box pick the poop up and put it in the litter box .

If it's a solid bottom cage, I'd agree with the suggestion to only put the bedding in the litterbox and not all over the cage.
