Hello, I am new here. My name is Gina and I have a year old male rabbit named Lenny. I named him Lenny because he has a L shaped mark on his side (as you will see in the picture attached). I got him fixed when he was 6 months old. I would like to adopt a new rabbit to be a companion for Lenny but unsure about how to do so. My question is if two males would be better together or a male with a fixed female?

now time to go through the threads!

very cute

Probably a male-female combo works best. But the best way to choose a new rabbit is to let him choose, regardless of the gender. It a shelter in your area allows speed dates, he can find the right friend with a much higher success rate than if you do the choosing.

He is so very handsome. Love his face. I have no experience bonding buns but have heard that bunny dating is the way to go. Let him decide...

Let us know what you end up doing. And welcome! :)

Lenny is so adorable. Good luck with finding him a friend! I don't know if you've read the book Of Mice and Men but if Lenny's new friend happens to be a boy it would be so cool if you named him George :D

Hello from Cinnabun, Pippy Lou, and I! I have read that bonding a neutered male and a spayed female works out best...although currently I am trying it with a non-spayed lady and fixed male (since the girl is a bitty baby, she'll have to wait to be fixed til she hits 6 months). Good Luck!

Oh and Lenny is darling! :hearts
