Leg licking

All of a sudden my two year old Whistler islicking his hind leg raw, it seems he pees on it, has the need to cleanit after and its looking pretty raw, why is he doing this and what canI do for him.

You may need to first address the issue of theapparent urinary incontinence, which can be caused by urinary sludge,infection, cancer, kidney problems, arthritis,etc. The continual wetness on the leg canlead to a secondary infection "urine scald".

He could also have a condition called hypospadias, a common congenitaldefect in the penis ("split penis")which can lead to urineleakage.

I would schedule an appointment to the vet ASAP as the symptoms could indicate a serious health issue.
