Kokomo came to us from a family that had adopted her from the Humane Society. Apparently, originally she was from a family that kept her in a small outdoor hutch and kept her with a buck. She was surrendered heavily pregnant and gave birth to 7 healthy little babies that were adopted out after being weaned. Kokomo's last family took her in, only to have her for a little over a year before the owner decided to get married and was having a baby in a few months. She felt she no longer had the time for Kokomo, so she contacted us to find her a home.

Luckily, finding Kokomo's new home was surprisingly easy and she was only with us for a few hours before she was on her way! Unfortuanatly, the new family returned her shortly after, claiming she was aggressive and had bitten them repeatedly.

We worked with Kokomo and found she was a sweet, well tempered bunny. Perhaps a little territorial, lunging occasionally but never really doing anything. We chalked it up as exaggeration and lack of working with her before finding her a home with people we knew and were good to their rabbits.

However, two weeks later, Kokomo was coming back AGAIN! She had bitten repeatedly and was too aggressive for them to even handle. We went over to their house and saw for ourselves that she was, indeed, a little terror! Grunting, lunging, biting through the skin, and we knew these people wouldn't do anything to harm her. We took her back, perhaps a little afraid of her after her display.

Yet, when we got her home, even after adjusting again, she never once made any attempt to bite or threaten, she was just a sweet tempered, mellow rabbit. And after having her for three years, she still has never made an attempt to really bite any of us!

I guess Kokomo was just meant to stay with us, and she was making sure we knew it too!
