Is Director Jenny just depressed!!!

Hello everyone,

I recently told you all that Director Jenny kindled the other day but the kits didn't make it. Well we cleaned out the cage and put 'tried' to comfort her but she wasn't a happy camper. Anyway, I came home from school today and she's pulling hair again!!! Is she just depressed? Do they often do this when they lose kits? We've never lost any kits and I've never seen a doe do this.

That's what I was thinking. The poor girl had been searching for the babies all day yesterday when we took them out and buried them. My poor little Jenny. (well she's not so little anymore.)

Yeah.
I had a doe do that, she mad a nest and scattered her babies, her babies died so I buried them and then she started nesting again.

No lie, when I had a doe lose her kits I put a couple of Beanie Babies in her nestbox and she was just tickled pink. After about a week I "weaned" them and then she was totally fine.
