But I picked up bag of beautiful alfalfa hay, fresh and beautiful, compressed tightly in to a plastic bag.

A roughly 2kg bag of alfalfa hay for $5.50 AUD.

For american's that is: 70 oz for $4.60 USD.

For you Brits that is: 2kg bag for £2.75 GBP.

It's beautiful, smells great, beautifully green and has been dried perfectly.

I pay eight for like, I don't know how many Kgs, but it's about a four foot by two foot bale, lasts me a couple of months.

Our bags are about 2-3kg and cost £2 each (uncompressed)- they probably last about 7-10 days per bag. :D Not alfalfa though, it's a sort of meadow mix from a local farm. A whole bale would be £3 or £4 but we've nowhere to store it...
