I checked some places (rescues) online and they all say that they don't accept surrender rabbits. Mostly they say they pull out rabbits from shelters, death row and so on. They say that owners need to find another home themselves. I have a special need bunny, taking care of him becomes very difficult and finance-wise I am not succeeding to provide what he needs. I myself in a bad state of health. I don't think he can be re-homed at this time. He had bunnies around him all his life, but now they all died except him. So he needs to go to a place that has other bunny rabbits, to order to be OK psychologically .
I am located in Kansas, but I can probably transport him some distance.
How do I find a rescue/sanctuary for him? He is 6 yo

I know there is a place in California that has special needs/sanctuary rabbits but I don't know if they will take anyone else, and of course you are in Kansas. But I wonder if they might know of anyone near you. http://www.saveabunny.org/rabbits/specialneeds
