How to cut the crumpled fur in the tail

Hi all !

As topic, my rabbit tail is full of crumpled fur and I want to cut it. But if I cut it, im afraid if I accidently cut the rabbit tail. So without the vet help, how to cut the crumpled fur on the rabbit tail because I afraid I accidently cut the tail ?

Are you speaking of an Angora? I wouldn't cut anything. I would start by slowly brushing it out, start at the top and slowly and gently brush down. If you can't do it, yes, take to a groomer.

ya it is angora. but how to cut the crumpled fur in tail without groom/vet help?

I use small embroidery scissors. Feel for the tail bone and hold onto it while cutting so you don't cut into it. Be very careful - it's very easy to cut or tear the skin.

but i cant feel the tail bcoz the crumpled fur cover the bone so cant feel it. i just scare i cut the tail.

Start at the base and very carefully start cutting a tiny bit at a time.
