Hmmmmm not sure what graded for livestock means......... maybe BlueEyes can comment I know he buys his hay by the bale.

So...I'm kinda back to square one looking for a reasonably priced Timothy hay for less than $2.00 per pound.

I swear I don't work for SPS's marketing department... but SPS timothy first & second cut are $1.33/lb if you buy the 60lb box. (Even cheaper if you catch it on sale, usually around major holidays.) Third cut is a bit more expensive at $1.80/lb.

Smaller sizes/quantities will always be more (sometimes significantly more) expensive than buying large quantities. Properly stored hay should last a year, though, so unless space is a big issue, bigger's always better... or in this case, cheaper.

Yeah I was going to say the same.. if you buy the bigger box the price per lb goes down to something that is eventually cheaper than my local stores.
