how can i clean my cookie's dirty nose? [help..]

So it was a nice spring day and i let my cookie run free around the house.

In the living room there's a fire place (of course with no fire in) and i've been closing it always so my Cookie don't get inside and get dirty.
But that little adventurer managed to jump inside! The fire place is not perfectly clean... so there are ashes inside.
I managed to clean his feet and belly, but his nose is a little.. well.. grey
He won't let me clean him up now and I'm a little worried...
Any advise?

Personally, I would just leave his nose. As long as there is no loose ash on his nose for him to ingest, the discolouration won't hurt him. It will wear off with time.
