Riley's been at the humane society for a month or so. He's 3 years old. He's not neutered so he's quite randy. Today I convinced one of the ladies at the front desk to have Riley neutered now rather than waiting for someone to decide to adopt him. I'm not sure why they don't spay/neuter rabbits asap.
Anyway, he's supposed to be neutered tomorrow. If Pancake and Riley get along I'd really like to adopt him. So now I'm wondering how long I should wait to take Pancake to meet him. I could bring him home but they'd charge $40 even if they hate each other. That and I'd feel bad taking him to a nice home only to take him back to the loud shelter. Speaking of noise, is one of their regular pet meeting rooms ok? My only concern is that they're very loud and so Pancake will be more scared than usual.
I'll be reading up on rabbit bonding for sure!
BTW if you're in the area, they have a 5 yr old mini rex who's really nice and needs a home. http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=13534891. He's shedding like crazy and needs people to visit him and help pluck his hair out.
